Butter + Beans Cafe

No matter how far i need to go, i will go find you, Coffee !

After our lunch at Awesome Canteen, we still wanted to go somewhere else, to drink coffee. Then after research some reviews, found out that this cafe which is inside my list, and location not so far from awesome canteen, so we go there and try their coffee.

First impression = small. The place very small one. and the location is like hidden gem. Not so crowded places, or happening places. Yet, you can still waze it. Once you enter you can see the end already, it is just a small cafe. Inside maybe only around 6 people can sit. 2-4 at the outside.

Instead of place, the deco on the wall, looks nice, unluckily i did not take photo. the staffs also willing to serve you. The price quite cheap compare to today's normal cafe. Especially the cake. But i did not try because i just had my lunch before i came here.

My friend ordered Ice Mocha.

In the midst of hot weather, this one very nice to make your body feel fresh.

the chocolate not too sweet, and it blends very well with the coffee taste.

Like usual, i love latte. i ordered latte.

I like the texture of the coffee. Just nice, smooth.

Awesome Canteen - Taman Paramount

An awesome place, awesome canteen :D

One fine day with my friend. We wanted to hang out together since a long time ago. But there is always something come out that makes us cannot hang out together. And finally, we can make it on this end of June. After search few places that we wanted to try, we decided to choose this place named Awesome Canteen. Located at Taman Paramount. It is very rare you can find hipster places to hang out in this area. Glad that we found it.

We went there in the afternoon, for our lunch, and it was pack. I like the ambience, their furniture are unique as well. The staffs are welcomed. I like their service as well. As we can see from the photos from different range of age, many people come to this place to hang out, eat, etc. It showed that this place is good not only for the youngster but also for family.

Actually i like this spot a lot, but unfortunately that day already reserved and we cannot sit there.

Each of us ordered one main dish. They are famous with their Paleo diet menu. Though i did not order it, but my friend did.

She ordered this one (below) Paleo Egg Plant Niku Stack (RM27.90)

Contained 2 juicy slices of eggplant as the subtitute the burger bread, beef of chicken patty, sunny side up egg, green, and sweet potato fries. looks Awesome is not it??

And this is mine which is Fish Fillet Burger (RM15.90)

Not so expensive right? you can get this portion for RM15.90.

Contained poppy seed bun, fish fillet, caramelized onion, greens, and cheese. Fries as side dish but i change to green salad, and you will get coleslaw as well.

Worth to try. There are more choices for burger, and there are sandwiches as well.

Nana's Green Tea & Madame Waffle at Midvalley

Who likes green tea?

I do love green tea. I went there to try new places with friend. Not many people surround me like green tea like i do, so this round got this friend who likes green tea as well, so it is a good chance to try new places which selling green tea desserts named Nana's Green Tea in Midvalley. They got branches in One Utama as well. They are quite famous with their parfait. And i thought at first, this place only selling the desserts, but actually when i flipped the menu, their main dishes looks nice, i looked around, few tables around me also ordered the main dishes + desserts.

If you do not want to eat the parfait because maybe too big, you can go for the ice cream cone green tea, they sell that too. I tried the parfait with the Matcha "Nama Chocolate" Parfait. RM23.10. I shared of two persons, because it is quite big. Contains of Kanten jelly with matcha syrup, soft-served vanilla ice cream, corn flakes, matcha ice cream one scoop, red bean paste, matcha gateaux chocolate ganache (this one is da-boom!), vanilla cream and matcha syrup again.

For green tea lovers, you should try it! Perfect taste of those layers, melting inside my mouth, and i am craving for more now!

Now it is turn to tell about Madame Waffle. Actually i got this promotion from Samsung Galaxy Life. If you are using Samsung phone, you can download this app "Samsung Galaxy Life" from Playstore.

It is made for Malaysian people only. Inside this app, you will find lots of promotions given to you. Some coupons for taxi rides, or discounts how many percents for Body Shop, or some other promotions of food and beverages in many cafes throughout Malaysia, not only KL but other parts as well.

I am not often check this app, got one time i checked and i found this promotion "Buy 1 azuki matcha waffle, get 1 free classic waffle". Since i was curious before with this stall as well, thus when i got a chance why i did not go for a try, right?

Let me introduce you with Madame Waffle. Madame waffle is a place that selling artisanal belgian waffles and coffees. They provide the waffles that easy to bring out, and be eaten on the go. Good taste. Affordable price.

Basically you just open the app, and they will click the "redeem now" button, and you can straight away get the promotion, so i get the azuki matcha waffle for RM6.90, and my friend choose the dark chocolate classic waffle. Got varieties of classic waffle, you can choose there. Also, we add on one scoop of Earl Grey Ice Cream for RM5.30, Total bill RM12.60. I did not take the photos of Azuki Matcha waffle. Back again, if you like green tea, this green tea waffle is nice, got red bean paste as the filling. You will love it. Otherwise, the dark chocolate waffle, also got chocolate inside the waffle, and as you can see the photos below, that one is dark chocolate waffle with earl grey ice cream. Not so big portion, yet it is just nice.

Korean Patbingsoo Dessert - Alam Sutera

Calling for dessert's lovers!

During my short getaway to Jakarta, i went to this dessert shop which located in Flavor Bliss (Alam Sutra). Find the address at the end of this post.

I went there with my friends, because i wanted to go for this dessert quite long ago. But never have a chance to go to this area. So much differences compare to last time i visited. Lots of new places opened already. Including this stall.

Korean Patbingsoo Dessert located on the second floor, so the first floor actually Seorae (Korean BBQ) Restaurant. So that after your meal, you can have dessert upstair.

The interior makes you feel like in one of cafe in Korea, with the Korean songs as background music when you chit chat with your friends.

First time trying Patbingsoo. I feel really satisfied with the portion, big, and they really generous with the toppings. As you can see from the photos, the bowl was really full. Price Rp37.000,- / RM10.50.

Well, i will definitely come back to this dessert shop again. I love it much!

Go there and try if you have not been there before.

O t h e r w i s e ?

Cafe with the unique theme called...

Tonight i am going to post about Otherwise Cafe. Like usual, i wanted to go for cafe hunting, and so i have researched first before i go, Few cafes seems interesting, but some places feel like so far and not enough time that day if i went to those areas. So come up ideas to go to this cafe name Otherwise. Randomly check here and there throughout mr. Google, and found this cafe around Kelana Jaya area. Not so hard to find this cafe, you can Waze it though, but seems like when i searched for more reviews, not a lot of people when there before. Well, the commercial block where otherwise cafe located actually not so happening, the right and left side of this cafe, also got no restaurants or any other cafes/dessert shops.

First impression was "this cafe interesting". The design interior is really vintage, got lots of vintage stuffs, got barber shop inside as well! So unique. As you will see through my photos, how the cafe looks like. I like their coffee as well. I tried latte. The wi-fi works well, quite fast. During my visit, not so many people there, first only one student sitting there for study, then after i came, got few couples come and go.

Price is standard, not so expensive, got sell various cakes as well. Not so good lighting if you want to go for study or do assignment, it is not good for your eyes. Nice to take lots of pictures there. But in my opinion, if go there around night time, quite scary because it's vintage, and got one spot decorate like small bed, got one long curtain at the back, got wheelchair, looks like so scary like in the horror movie.

It is my opinion, though if you go daytime it won't be problem, you can take a lot of good photos of your coffee, because lots of nice spot to take pictures, and the decoration supports it as well. You can go there, and experience a new environment.

Switch Cake and Coffee - Uptown Damansara

Another dessert maybe??

This time i want to give review about dessert shop in Uptown Damansara. I went there to hang out, but when i was on my way, i have not decided yet where i was going to. After have a look around Uptown Damansara area. At first i wanted to go for coffee shop, since i still love to find new cafes to try, but then that day i felt like i did not find a good cafes to chill around the area, even i went to TTDI for a while. Then, i saw this cake and coffee shop at Uptown Damansara, after search from google. Seems interesting after i read what they are actually selling.

Swich is unique with what they sell. Basically this desserts allow you to choose from slice of cake as your based, toppings that you can choose whichever you want, and varieties of sauces as well. It was first time i tried this kind of desserts, and i felt like so excited. I even confused to choose which cake do i need to try first, because the flavours available made me want to try everything.

Beside that custom-made desserts, there are few menus that is fix one.

i like the decoration inside, looks artistic, classy, but the problem is the place quite small, not so comfortable. In addition, if this place filled with the crowd, i am sure you can not really enjoy it, i went there, and it was lucky that only few people. i can still chill for a moment. And it was raining, so it was so good to enjoy my desserts.

i also got try this one, the difference between this and another one that i ordered was just an ice cream, and the flavour of the cake though.

This one was cheesecake + vanilla crumbs + caramel sauce.

So for this only one topping + one sauce.

this dessert contains, cake inside, ice cream, and you can choose 2 toppings + 1 sauce, i chose almonds, meringue, and chocolate sauce. there were sour, and sweet taste blend together in one dessert, so nice!

Sadly, the caramel sauce very sticky, so it is not so good when i tried to take the photos.

Overall:

Ambience: 7/10

Lighting: 8/10

Taste: 8.5/10

Service: 6/10

Price: For 2 of them, each person pay RM16, i did not remember the exact price.

Lorem Ipsum Cafe

On saturday afternoon, i want to hang out somewhere, to enjoy my weekend, after a busy week in my hometown. After my lunch, me and my boyfriend decided to go somewhere, definitely a new cafe in bangsar, because we got something to do in midvalley, so we chose the place around midvalley that has lots of cafes. We found hidden gem in Bangsar, the name of the cafe is Lorem Ipsum. It is not in Telawi, so yea, we tried to waze it, and we have found the area already, but then after few times we looked around that block, we could not find the place called Lorem Ipsum, well we almost give up and change to other place. It is quite difficult to find, we give it a try to look at one place located in 1st floor, there is no sign from outside, so yea, i think it might be the one. Once i went to 1st floor and see, yup it is Lorem Ipsum Cafe. only a small signage hang on the door and on the wall. Yeah, finally we found the hidden gem in Bangsar. At the moment, there was an art jam going on, so half of the space was being used by them. Luckily i still got the place to seat. Quickly i took the photos of cafe's interior, ordered the drink and dessert. I ordered latte as usual. I like it! My boyfriend ordered the apple strudel. Cozy ambience, friendly staff, affordable price. For the coffee i ordered only RM10, it is counted as cheaper than most of the cafes. The desserts also got from RM2.50 only. You can give it a try.
