Korean Patbingsoo Dessert - Alam Sutera

Calling for dessert's lovers!

During my short getaway to Jakarta, i went to this dessert shop which located in Flavor Bliss (Alam Sutra). Find the address at the end of this post. 

I went there with my friends, because i wanted to go for this dessert quite long ago. But never have a chance to go to this area. So much differences compare to last time i visited. Lots of new places opened already. Including this stall.

Korean Patbingsoo Dessert located on the second floor, so the first floor actually Seorae (Korean BBQ) Restaurant. So that after your meal, you can have dessert upstair. 

The interior makes you feel like in one of cafe in Korea, with the Korean songs as background music when you chit chat with your friends. 

First time trying Patbingsoo. I feel really satisfied with the portion, big, and they really generous with the toppings. As you can see from the photos, the bowl was really full. Price Rp37.000,- / RM10.50.

Well, i will definitely come back to this dessert shop again. I love it much! 

Go there and try if you have not been there before.

O t h e r w i s e ?

Cafe with the unique theme called...

Tonight i am going to post about Otherwise Cafe. Like usual, i wanted to go for cafe hunting, and so i have researched first before i go, Few cafes seems interesting, but some places feel like so far and not enough time that day if i went to those areas. So come up ideas to go to this cafe name Otherwise. Randomly check here and there throughout mr. Google, and found this cafe around Kelana Jaya area. Not so hard to find this cafe, you can Waze it though, but seems like when i searched for more reviews, not a lot of people when there before. Well, the commercial block where otherwise cafe located actually not so happening, the right and left side of this cafe, also got no restaurants or any other cafes/dessert shops. 

First impression was "this cafe interesting". The design interior is really vintage, got lots of vintage stuffs, got barber shop inside as well! So unique. As you will see through my photos, how the cafe looks like. I like their coffee as well. I tried latte. The wi-fi works well, quite fast. During my visit, not so many people there, first only one student sitting there for study, then after i came, got few couples come and go.

Price is standard, not so expensive, got sell various cakes as well. Not so good lighting if you want to go for study or do assignment, it is not good for your eyes. Nice to take lots of pictures there. But in my opinion, if go there around night time, quite scary because it's vintage, and got one spot decorate like small bed, got one long curtain at the back, got wheelchair, looks like so scary like in the horror movie.

It is my opinion, though if you go daytime it won't be problem, you can take a lot of good photos of your coffee, because lots of nice spot to take pictures, and the decoration supports it as well. You can go there, and experience a new environment.

Switch Cake and Coffee - Uptown Damansara

Another dessert maybe??

This time i want to give review about dessert shop in Uptown Damansara. I went there to hang out, but when i was on my way, i have not decided yet where i was going to. After have a look around Uptown Damansara area. At first i wanted to go for coffee shop, since i still love to find new cafes to try, but then that day i felt like i did not find a good cafes to chill around the area, even i went to TTDI for a while. Then, i saw this cake and coffee shop at Uptown Damansara, after search from google. Seems interesting after i read what they are actually selling.

Swich is unique with what they sell. Basically this desserts allow you to choose from slice of cake as your based, toppings that you can choose whichever you want, and varieties of sauces as well. It was first time i tried this kind of desserts, and i felt like so excited. I even confused to choose which cake do i need to try first, because the flavours available made me want to try everything.

Beside that custom-made desserts, there are few menus that is fix one.

i like the decoration inside, looks artistic, classy, but the problem is the place quite small, not so comfortable. In addition, if this place filled with the crowd, i am sure you can not really enjoy it, i went there, and it was lucky that only few people. i can still chill for a moment. And it was raining, so it was so good to enjoy my desserts.

i also got try this one, the difference between this and another one that i ordered was just an ice cream, and the flavour of the cake though.

This one was cheesecake + vanilla crumbs + caramel sauce.

So for this only one topping + one sauce.

this dessert contains, cake inside, ice cream, and you can choose 2 toppings + 1 sauce, i chose almonds, meringue, and chocolate sauce. there were sour, and sweet taste blend together in one dessert, so nice!

Sadly, the caramel sauce very sticky, so it is not so good when i tried to take the photos.

Overall:

Ambience: 7/10

Lighting: 8/10

Taste: 8.5/10

Service: 6/10

Price: For 2 of them, each person pay RM16, i did not remember the exact price.

Lorem Ipsum Cafe

On saturday afternoon, i want to hang out somewhere, to enjoy my weekend, after a busy week in my hometown. After my lunch, me and my boyfriend decided to go somewhere, definitely a new cafe in bangsar, because we got something to do in midvalley, so we chose the place around midvalley that has lots of cafes. We found hidden gem in Bangsar, the name of the cafe is Lorem Ipsum. It is not in Telawi, so yea, we tried to waze it, and we have found the area already, but then after few times we looked around that block, we could not find the place called Lorem Ipsum, well we almost give up and change to other place. It is quite difficult to find, we give it a try to look at one place located in 1st floor, there is no sign from outside, so yea, i think it might be the one. Once i went to 1st floor and see, yup it is Lorem Ipsum Cafe. only a small signage hang on the door and on the wall. Yeah, finally we found the hidden gem in Bangsar. At the moment, there was an art jam going on, so half of the space was being used by them. Luckily i still got the place to seat. Quickly i took the photos of cafe's interior, ordered the drink and dessert. I ordered latte as usual. I like it! My boyfriend ordered the apple strudel. Cozy ambience, friendly staff, affordable price. For the coffee i ordered only RM10, it is counted as cheaper than most of the cafes. The desserts also got from RM2.50 only. You can give it a try. The location is above the klinik pergigian.

Yellow Brick Road Cafe

Hello weekend!

 How was your week ? Today i am going to write about Yellow Brick Road Cafe. I went there last week actually, but then, not too long after that i went back to my hometown, and i did not bring my laptop so i cannot post anything in my blog. I went to this cafe with my friend, she was the one that let me know about this cafe, from instagram. So we decided to have a tea-time and new cafe as well. This cafe has a very nice ambience, and good interior as well. Feels like you will be feel very comfortable to stay longer. And the most important thing is the lighting is very good, can support you to take photos. LOL. The staff also friendly, and willing to serve you with smile.

While waiting for the pancake time at 4pm, i ordered the coffee first, as usual, i ordered Latte. My favourite type of coffee. I heard that their barista is very talented, so i want to give it a try whether it will be my favourite coffee or not. 

Well, after i sip the coffee, my expectation was higher than this. Though, it was still okay.

The coffee really smooth.

My friend ordered the brunch menu, seems like the one that i tried in Red Bean Bag @ Publika. Unfortunately, i did not try it, so i am not sure whether it is nice or not.

they are very well-known by their wicked pancake parlour. So basically this pancake's menu only served after 4pm. That day, me and my friend waited for this pancake for quite some time, because we came before 4pm. And we did not know about this. After 4pm came, then we ordered Peter Pandan.

Oh yeah, i would like to say this pancake and ice cream, was absolutely worth to try. Every single things inside was perfect. Pancake with pandan flavour, strawberry which add some sour-ish taste when you eat this dessert, jackfruit which i thought it would be weird, but it was not, and lastly ice cream, and caramel syrup. YUMS! you should try this.
