Food Trip to Medan - Part III

Food Trip

10. After we had our dim sum and steamboat kind of dinner, we went to the next stop which was Room Ice. I was quite curious about their ice. Because actually in my hometown (Jakarta) got this kind of ice, but then i have not got any chance to try it. So that, i found one in Medan, why not try it right. They had several choices of cone, with fruit loops is one of the choices, and then got several flavors of ice cream, but unfortunately i did not what i expect, the choice of flavors very less only. So i ended up with mint flavor. Because some of flavors also finish already. Overall the taste was just okay. I will try this kind of ice cream in Jakarta next time. The location also not really convenient, and you only can take away, they did not provide any kind of chairs and tables there.

11. This kind of ice, pot ice cream, located just accross the room ice. I didn't know their name, because there is no name in their stall also. My friend the one that tried this kind of ice cream. Looks unique and seems so real right.

12. After our ice cream time, my friend's parents brought us to the durian place, named Ucok Durian. But i did not take any photos there.

13. This is the last day of our food trip in Medan, for the breakfast we had another mee, named Tiong Sim Mie Pangsit.

Location: Jl. Semarang, Medan.

They are located in roadside. The taste was good as well. Different kind type of mee with the first one we had on the second day.

After we had our breakfast, we went to buy the souvenirs to be brought to Malaysia, we bought Bolu Meranti, famous bolu in Medan. Not forgot to buy our favourite Macarons from La Maison Patisserie. After that we went back to pack our luggage first, then we went to have our lunch,

14. Our lunch was at Tau Kua He Ci Sunggal. I cannot explain what they selling, basically it seems like fried yong tau foo that i had in Malaysia, the difference was the sauce, and in Medan we cannot choose the ingredients. They had pork satay as well. We had those two. What i meant of fried yong tau foo? the photos are below.

That is the end of our food trip to Medan. We will sure come back to eat other foods in Medan. and go other places such as Berastagi and Danau Toba as well.
